McDonald's Scented Candle
The following branding exercise was created to test one's ability with branding by combining a brand with a product that would normally not pair well. From a long list of both brands and products a combination of McDonald's and a scented candle was chosen.
The beginning stages involved gathering brand and product research to narrow down the characteristics of both McDonald's and scented candles. Once the design was chosen a package design was created with overall dimensions and die lines.
Helmet Branding Project
This project was aimed at dissecting an existing brand and attributing their brand qualities and characteristics to a product that they have not yet attempted creating. For myself and my two group members, we chose a Jeep inspired bicycle helmet.
Jeep's brand and product characteristics were closely inspected and the most notable and iconic were compiled into a brand identity board. From their many reiterations of potential designs were sketched as ideas were drawn upon form the brand board. Once a design was settled upon, the final design was sculpted out of automotive clay to fully represent the product in 3D space.
